Car Window Tint for Audi

Car Window Tint for Audi

We all have seen cars with black windows, giving them a really cool look similar to that of a sports car. But ever wondered that beyond this ‘coolness' there might be other reasons why people chose to apply window tint.

Also called heat rejection films, they are basically used to reduce the level of ultraviolet radiation entering through the windows. What really happens is that the incoming radiation is converted into infrared radiation and rejected back. Thus all the harmful stuff is simply eliminated!

There are three ways to get your car windows tinted. First is the OEM tinted windows where the car window itself is tinted during the glassmaking process. This certainly means that it replaces your existing window and the window tint lasts the life of the glass. The second is applying a thin polymer window tinting film to your existing windows, which is the most inexpensive and by far the most popular aftermarket method of window tinting. The polymer glass films come in different shades starting from a mild to a dark window tint, which can be in different colors for a wider choice of possibilities, and also in flat, reflective, metallic, and mirror effect. And at last there is a special tinted solution which is applied to the windows and lasts longer than the film tint.

A window tint can come in pretty handy and has several safety features as well. The very first thing is the fact that it reduces the glare from the sun, snow and headlights thus allowing you to drive with ease and keeping your safety level high. Another feature is that in case of an accident the tinting helps in keeping the shattered glass together so that you are unharmed from piercing glass which is mostly responsible for fatalities occurring in an accident. At last there is the privacy factor. The tinted windows protect your privacy and the contents within it, thus reducing the chances of your car being jacked! Other than the safety factor it also protects the car's upholstery preventing it from cracking and fading. In a way or another, one can say that this car  window tent can act as a sunscreen for the car.

But it's not all good news for using a window tint. One major factor is that it at night it reduces the light to a minimum making it quiet dangerous. Another fallback is that it makes functions that require the use of the rear window really difficult like reversing at night could lead to accidents if the driver is not cautious. At last there is the factor that black tainted windows arouse suspicion and may make you a target of misinformed actions, like being stopped at check points etc.

Well it can be seen that applying a window tint to your car can be quite handy but at the same time really dangerous too. But that's the story of every product you buy, you just have to make up your mind and go for it!
